It is a delight to have a small team of practitioners who join in teaching sessions and running events. Each has their own unique talents and experience as a creative practitioner. (All of us are DBS checked and insured.)

Introducing The Team

Yael Loewenstein

Founder, Director, Artist Teacher

Yael began dancing as a small child in her native South Africa. She went on to train in ballet performing with a youth ballet company in Toronto, Canada. When it was time to burst out of the balletic form, Yael followed a professional training in Contemporary dance at the School of Toronto Dance Theatre.

Upon graduating in 2000, Yael headed to the UK and it was here she was awarded a Masters Degree in Choreography with Performing Arts, and by chance found herself working as a choreographer in theatre.

This choreographic path unfolded and to date Yael has worked on over 250 productions in the UK and abroad in the realms of theatre, dance, film, opera, motion capture, video games and some experimental stuff too!

Alongside the performance/choreographic journey, Yael has always worked with people of all ages. She is a Postural Stability Instructor for the prevention of falls and fractures in frailer and older people and has a long standing relationship with the Ethnic Minorities Advocacy Group and Age UK. She has also taught for a number of drama schools, universities, secondary schools and primary schools. Yael has also run creative movement classes for children over the years at various dance organisations.

Move 'n' Make is a grass roots, from-the-heart initiative that Yael continues to nurture. The interpersonal interactions with children, parents, carers and other teachers is a hotbed of creative inspiration and community.

Move 'n' Make is a part of Yael's portfolio that she is very proud of.

Claire Hawkins

Creative Producer

Claire began dancing and performing from the age of 4 where she attended the Minnie Skerrett’s School of Dance until she was 12, focusing on tap, ballet and modern dance. It was Claire’s love of singing and acting however that led her to broaden and extend her training into Performing Arts at The London School of Musical Theatre where she graduated with distinction.

Claire has since performed in a variety of musicals and straight plays from West End to London’s fringe and currently has her own Cabaret show, ‘Broadway Baby’.

Claire’s passion for expression and movement also led her to Yoga and in 2010 she completed her 200 hour Yoga Alliance teacher training qualification.

Claire wanted to combine the strength and flexibility that dance had given her with the patience, peace and positive energy from Yoga. Her love of performing, music and dance is very evident in her style of teaching and her Yoga classes are filled with energy, expression and the fluidity and grace of the body.
